The 18th of December was our normal meeting evening and we decided to celebrate Christmas in style. Those attending were asked to bring along some festive food and what a spread we had. There was pizza, sausage rolls, sandwiches, pork pies and any sort of savoury delicacy you can think of. That's not all there has to be mince pies, there was cake, large and individual finished off by bar nibbles as well. The numbers were pretty good as well over 40 people with an age range of early teens to late 80's and most of the evening all you could hear was laughter. The county chairman elect graced us with his presence, not presents! 2 of our affiliated youth groups were represented by Guides and the ATC. There was air table football, darts, poole, a raffle and finished off with a Christmas quiz. People won prizes, £60 pounds was raised by the raffle and £100 taken over the bar for the families club, which is pretty good with the average drink price £1. The food had a good seeing to and there was very little left over but what was went towards the families club coffee morning the following morning. All in all it was a very enjoyable and successful evening, and that seems to be the view of pretty much everybody that attended. It will certainly take some topping in 2019, if you missed it you definitely missed out.
